Lots o' Laughs

Grandpa Jim came to hang out today - and boy o boy did he make Luke laugh! It was hard for Luke to get to sleep because we had him so worked up - snorting like a pig seems to get the biggest laughs - so much fun. My favorite sound in the whole world is Luke's laugh. Its as infectious as Stevo's laugh - you just can't help but join in.

Lashes

Love the lashes. Anywhoo- been a busy week for the Luke-ster. He has another tooth on the horizon bringing the grand total to = 2. He was pretty fussy earlier this week and we think the second tooth has finally broken thru.

Yesterday I took him to the lakefront to crawl in the grass - he was more interested in trying to eat the grass though.

Last weekend (my god its friday already - another week has flown by!) we went to the Arlington racetrack. We came sooo cloose to winning it big - doh! But Luke and Venetia (Angel and Vicki's daughter) had a blast.

Houston....We Have a Tooth!!

Luke was drooling up a storm this morning and I felt in his mouth and this time it's for real - we ahve a tooth! It's pretty difficult to get a picture of it now - but rest assured as it pops up more you'll see it in his smile.

Luke in the Thunderdome

We built what we call "the thunderdome" in our front room - basically we just closed off the "exits" so that Luke could crawl around freely. He has a ball playing with his toys and crawling thru his magic tunnel (yes a video about Luke and his magic tunnel is forthcoming). Luke's First Ad

Well Gerber saw my last post on the web, and they decided to pay Luke $1 million dollars to use the photo in their ad for Puffs. Next up - Luke signs his rich and famous contract!

Mommy and Daddy went for a much needed jog Sunday morning. But afterwards we all sat by the lake for a while to look at the waves. It was pretty as a postcard - and much cooler! Only 80 degrees! It was great to get in some downtime before we went to assemble the Ikea shelf we bought the day before (which ended up taking up many more hours due to the fact the shelf was missing several critical screw holes!). But we managed to get it put together and its awesome (picture coming soon).

First Crawling Steps

I picked up my phone just in time to record Luke's very first crawling steps!! At this point, he takes a few little steps, then he falss, or he likes going into a kind of "downward facing dog" yoga pose for a bit. Diaper changing and getting dressed has become increasingly difficult because he just wants to flip over and start crawling. UPDATE! We were out with Luke all day yesterday - at gramma carol's and then at a friends house in the afternoon. Luke got kinda cranky/fidgety because we kept holding him. But when we got home, we set him on the mats, and he got up and started really crawling everywhere! More than a few steps, this guy is on the go! It was quite an "independence" day for him!!

We took a short trip to the roof to see the sunset tonight - but you can't top that smile.

Like spent Friday with gramma carol and uncle Jim - they played all kinds of instruments for him and he had the best time!
