First day of big kid school

Luke started preschool on Monday! Making new friends, new teacher, new everything. What a big boy! (Any day now maybe he will stop sucking on his fingers!!)

When I tuck Luke into bed, I always draw the letters of I love and then L U K E on Luke's face. Tonight I asked Luke to spell his name and he did! Then he spelled mom and dad all by himself! Smart little guy!

Then, filing this under I just don't want to forget, Luke usually pops out of bed to "talk to about the bear", or to sing all the really really cool trains, but when he comes out he always takes all his stuffed animals with him. Arms full.

Charles and Luke were playing at the park.

Charles: Luke, do you hear the birds singing?

Luke: Yes, daddy.

Charles: They're singing for you because they love you as much as I do.

A day or so later, Charles jogging with Luke in the stroller.

Luke: Daddy, do you hear the birds singing? They're singing for you because they love you too.

Hangin with my best friend...

Lots of fun this weekend - Luke and I made more shoebox trains - we labeled them blue line and yellow line (Sunday we changed them both to purple line) and we take them around the basement. 

On Saturday we had a let it go rockblock. Luke spontaneously came of the stairs with a blanket over his head and when Elsa takes off her cloak on the song the blanket comes off!
